Everyone asks for it
But get upset when they get it
Everyone claims it
Yet leaves a lot undisclosed
It is a tough pill to swallow
The world is not ready
And as I sit here contemplating
Radical honesty
I am simply afraid
Afraid to hurt people’s feelings
Afraid of being alienated
Afraid to be 100% myself
In the world where
Only certain facets
Are publicly accepted
It seems to have no place in society
Yet it persistently begs me
