Grateful for:
- Packing my life in a couple of hours and into 2 bags and a box. Not bad.
- Talking about my mom over a Peacefoods sandwich.
- Leaving NYC for the next grand adventure.
- Checking voicemail on the train to discover that due to ash over Europe my night flight has been canceled.
- Dealing with the ensuing chaos fairly well: jumping off the train, pondering staying, jumping back on the train, being late for my flight, securing myself an emergency couch in Boston (thanks!), changing my ticket, begging my way through a security line, running for my life for the next plane, boarding, landing in Boston – hooray!
- Passing the “everything goes wrong” test by keeping positive attitude and manifesting miracles along the way.
- Getting a voucher for free hotel stay with all meals paid – a welcome time of solitude and reflection at the time of change, could not have planned a better one myself.
- Chatting with a native of Azores currently living in USA on the way to the hotel.
- Knowing such awesome people that let you crash on their couch at a moment’s notice.
- I love how positive I can remain even faced with chaos.
