Grateful for:
- Touch.
- Mindfulness breakfast.
- Multitasking it’s best – playing with a dog and reading a book at the same time – for about 4 hours!
- Having access to friend’s dogs on a regular basis when my crazy lifestyle prevents me from getting my own. After thinking of myself as a cat person my whole life I just realized I must be a dog person in reality outside of my imagination because I only once in my life had a cat a very long time ago as a teen and ever since then have either owned or been around dogs. Dogs that double as cats get bonus points though. Maybe I am a CatDog person? Or maybe I should just stop trying to label myself and just be.
- Downloading a few great business ideas from the cosmos while playing with the dog. Got to love the cosmos! Thank you :)
- Being asked by several people what are my plans for the weekend made me realize how good of an unplanner I am since I had very little. If “life is what happens while you are busy making other plans”, I just stopped planning completely to allow life to take up 100% of available time and it has been great ever since.
- Locking myself out of the house and having to break back in with the help of a ladder and a slim window opening. The funny part was that squeezing through the window, all of me went through ok but the bum nearly got stuck. I was having a private chuckle with myself over it.
- Dropping the bike today and being absolutely mortified with shame since the only reason I dropped it was because I was getting too cocky and playing and swerving in the lane for the fun of it. Then come stopping at the red lights, and the fact that I was at an angle from swerving while I pressed the breaks caught me off balance and SMASH I went to the ground. Left mirror broke off, indicator lens needs replacing again and this time I also got a wound on my knee, which I failed to notice until much later since the knee area is already desensitised because of previous motorcycle accident years ago. The whole thing made me laugh actually and still does, not quite sure why, and also not quite sure why it is even one of my things to be grateful for today, I guess I am just extremely grateful for how I react to what others would deem “negative” events – they just make me laugh, teach me things and end up being highlights of my day. Go figure.
- Going out for dinner with a friend and going to 5 different restaurants that were completely full before settling on a nice little Spanish tapas place which to our immense delight hosted a Spanish guitar duo that night. So all the wait and the search have been orchestrated by the Universe for a reason, to guide us to have the most amazing live music and food experience. The only downside was that it was hard to eat while at the same time enthusiastically wiggling in the seat to the tunes.
- Being a complete antisocial as I am and falling asleep on the couch while friends partied well into the night. I love being myself like that and not feeling like I have to conform and be social. Couch sleeping is so much fun too :)
