It has been a while since the last gratitude post and the mood is already turning pessimistic although there is just so much to be grateful for on this wonderful adventure.
- Grateful for the easy flight over, although the first flight left as 6 am and we got to our hotel only at 4 am the same day the time went very quickly. This allowed us to hit the ground running and not suffer any jet lag. Hooray!
- Grateful for the abundance of everything Bangkok has to offer – peaceful temples between large shopping malls (literally) paint an exact picture of 21st century SE Asia.
- Grateful for the many friendly locals who stop us on the street (even when we don’t have our maps out looking like complete.. TOURISTS) and ask us where we are heading, showing us the way and finding us a Tuk Tuk and negotiating a lower fair with the driver.
- Grateful for getting out of Bangkok without encountering any real trouble.
- Grateful for the many wonderful hotels we got to stay in so far and for everyone’s service and hospitality.
- Grateful for arriving in Cambodia and finally slowing down the break-neck travel speed we have been moving at ever since arriving in SE Asia. It’s day 4 in Seim Reap and we still haven’t even been to see Angkor Wat the main attraction.
- Grateful for the cheapest cost of living in Cambodia – $3 meals and cocktails, we’ll definitely live it up here for a while.
- Grateful for the Internet readily available everywhere, albeit sometimes even slower than in Vila which I thought was impossible.
- Grateful for many wonderful business and other ideas for living that jump out at me everywhere we go – the world is a wonderful and very inspiring place.
- Grateful for the wonderful weather that has been following us everywhere we go.
